Product size(mm) Software

Outline

The system, including three types of imaging cases: X-ray, CT and MRI, is designed both for imaging diagnosis training and image diagnostic thinking training. Ordinary cases focus on imaging diagnosis while thinking cases emphasize the thinking process of students' image analysis. The system has 5 case difficulty levels to meet different learners' need and all the cases come with DICOM files, all collected from real patient data.

Features

System Components

1) The system consists of four parts: dedicated server, instructor unit software, learner unit software and user management software.

2)  1 server, hardware requirements: CPU: Xeon E3 and above; memory: 16G and above; hard disk: 1T and above; network card: 800M.

3)  Instructor unit software has a variety of management functions, including case management, case editing, classroom teaching and assessment management etc.

4)  Learner unit software supports imaging diagnosis training and imaging theory knowledge assessment.

5)  User management software enables users to do organization management, user batch management and user access control.

6)  System data is safe and reliable, and can be used directly without accessing the external network. Security of learner assessment data and contact information is guaranteed. There is no limit to the number of accounts used by students and teachers. Users can add student and teacher accounts by themselves. The cases, personnel contact information and training/assessment data used by the user are stored on the user's server. The manufacturer prohibits copying, transfer, store and release the above-mentioned user data to any third party.

Instructor Unit

1)  Case management function: In order to facilitate search and management, cases can be classified according to body parts (at least divided into more than 5 parts). They can also be used as ordinary cases and thinking cases (including positive and negative imaging signs, image diagnostic thinking processes training like basic pathological analysis and combined clinical analysis, etc.) according to different training purposes and contents. There are 3 types of cases in the system, i.e. X-ray, CT and MRI. Cases of each type are over 400, among which no less than 150 are thinking cases.

2)  Case editing function: Teachers can add and edit cases, and can set certain cases as assessment ones. Case difficulty is divided into 5 levels. DICOM files can be added when editing a case, and digital file processing can be performed on the built-in imaging workstation.

3)  Imaging workstation: The system comes with an imaging workstation and all cases can be loaded with DICOM files. Teachers can post-progress them according to actual teaching needs. The post-processing function meets the basic requirements of a common clinical imaging workstation, including: 1) layout. Users can choose 1X1, 1X2, 2X1, 2X2, 2X3, 3X3, etc.; 2) Window width and level adjustments; 3) Zoom in and out; 4) Zoom in on the area of interest; 5) Left turn 90 degrees; 6) Right turn 90 degrees; 7) Left and right mirror flip; 8) Up and down mirror flip; 9) Negative film; 10) Distance measurement; 11) Two-way ruler; 12) Angle measurement; 13) Polygon measurement; 14) Adding notes & comments; 15) Labeling major signs; 16) Labeling secondary signs, etc.

4)  Classroom teaching: Without using any third-party software, the content of the instructor unit screen can be synchronously displayed on learner unit screens. The system has electronic textbooks on X-ray, CT and MRI diagnostic thinking training for teachers to use. Real-time screen labeling is also available for users to highlight key and difficult content in the textbooks.

5)  Teachers can use thinking cases in the system to demonstrate and explain to students on the same screen. The "Favorites" function will allow users to add cases to the "Favorites", making it convenient for instructors to directly select wanted ones during lectures. After opening a thinking case, teachers can add a preliminary print diagnosis and select the corresponding thinking process to facilitate teaching.

6)  Assessment: Assessment includes "theoretical knowledge assessment" and "diagnostic imaging assessment ". Diagnostic imaging assessment can select multiple cases to be assessed at the same time. During the assessment, teachers can track status of each participant (in assessment, assessment completed, participant offline), and can monitor each one's operation in real time without the help of a third-party software. Teachers can take the initiative to end the exam, or the system can automatically end the exam when time is up. Scores will be automatically generated when the exam ends.

7)  Test question management: Test questions are divided according to system chapters, and test question types include glossary explanation, gapfill questions, choice questions, etc. The system provides at least 1000 related test questions for X-ray, CT and MRI each.

8)  Score management: Teachers can view students' test scores. Subjective questions in theoretical knowledge allows for manual grading with customized scores.

9)  Resource management: The system comes with teaching material resources, which are organized by chapters. Teachers can add to, modify and delete the system chapters.  Teaching files in Word, PDF and PPT formats can be imported or deleted.

10) Template management: The system comes with report templates, and teachers can also add and edit report templates by themselves. Report templates make it convenient for teachers to write case reports and easy for students to take assessment and do practices.

Learner Unit

1)  Thinking training: Students can view the imaging application form and fill in the diagnostic thinking & diagnostic reports. When filling in the report, they can imitate the report template in the clinical report system, which makes it convenient for students to learn and standardize related content.

2)  When students complete a thinking case, they shall fill in the content of positive or negative imaging signs, image diagnostic thinking processes like basic pathological analysis and combined clinical analysis, and finally give differential diagnosis and conclusions.

3)  When viewing case images, students can post-process DICOM files on the imaging workstation to observe positive and negative imaging signs in greater detail. After finishing a case exercise, student's test results, the correct diagnosis report and the comparison of the thinking processes will show. Students can also participate in image thinking case assessment set up by teachers.

4)  Exercise and assessment: Students can automatically form a test for practice, or learners can use the teacher's pre-compiled test paper. The correct answer can be viewed at any time during the practice. Learners can take exams launched by instructors.

5)  Results review: Students can view their own assessment scores, including image thinking assessment results and exercise assessment results. The image thinking assessment results can show the thinking details, including the student operation results and standard answers; the exercise assessment results have the details of the examination, including the student's answers and correct answers, which is convenient for students to compare and contrast.

User Management

1)  Organizational settings: Users can set up organizations over 4 levels and self-define their names to facilitate multi-level management. Teachers and students can belong to multiple organizations at the same time, and different teachers can manage multiple organizations.

2)  User management: User information such as administrators, teachers, and students can be edited in batches. According to actual needs, various roles such as counselor, teaching secretary, and clinical teacher can be added. Each senior user independently manages the information of their lower-level personnel.

3)  User access control: For easy & convenient management, different accesses can be set up for each role.

4)  Batch processing: Users can import, export, delete, activate, and set passwords for personnel information in batches to save time and energy.
